Nobody explains what a head spa is, so here it is.
You lie back with your head over a basin. Your scalp is cleansed, massaged and rinsed properly, for a full hour, in a dark room. That is the whole thing. It sounds modest written down, and then people book the next one before they leave.

XAR Beauty is deliberately small. Treatments happen behind a door rather than in the middle of a busy floor, which is the difference between a service and an hour off. Parking is available, and the bus stop is on the corner.
It is the sister salon to XAR Hair & Nails, five minutes up the road, which has been cutting and colouring in Is-Swieqi since 2014.
